\nThis web site is dedicated to the members of the 1st Stoke-on-Trent & Newcastle, St. Andrew’s, Porthill Scout Group and the men of Porthill Parish who died in the Two World Wars.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

In St. Andrew’s Church is a Memorial and a stained glass window dedicated to the memory of the members of the Troop who died in The Great War – World War 1.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Outside the Church is a Memorial Cross dedicated to all the men of the Parish who died in World War 1.<\/p>\n

There is also a Book of Remembrance with the names of the Scouts and the men of the Parish who died in both the 1st and 2nd World Wars, along with Memorials from St. Wulstan’s\u00a0 Church Longbridge Hayes.<\/p>\n

All these men are remembered here.<\/p>\n

There is information on all of the Scouts who died in both Wars, the Scout Memorial and Window and the Parish War Memorial. A list of all the names on the War Memorial and the Book of Remembrance, with details of a majority of the men is also included.<\/p>\n

Information on each of the Scouts can be seen by going clicking on \u2018The Scouts\u2019 section at the top of the page. Also, more information about the Memorial and Window can also be seen by clicking on the relevant section at the top.<\/p>\n

It appears that no one else from the Scout Group has been killed in any conflicts since World War 2, but we are unsure about the whole Parish.<\/p>\n

If you have any information about the Scouts or men from the Parish or anyone from the Parish that has died in conflicts, please get in touch.<\/a><\/p>\n

\nAT THE GOING DOWN OF THE SUN AND IN THE MORNING<\/strong><\/span>
