Bernard Samuel Kendrick was born in Wolstanton between January and March 1918. All we know about his parents is that his mother\u2019s maiden surname was Tomkinson.<\/p>\n

He served as Signalman Bernard Samuel Kendrick, 2337149 Royal Signals. He was one of the 130,000 men that surrendered at Singapore on 15th February 1942. He died on 20th January 1943 aged 24 while a Japanese prisoner of war.<\/p>\n

He is buried at the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery, Thailand.<\/p>\n
